First - this is awesome, and timely. Definitely going to try this with my kids :) Second, and completely off topic - The text for the post is grayed out a bit. It looks similar to downvoted comments. Most of the 'Ask HN' posts look like this. I assume this is normal (yes?). Why is this done?

Awesome! Kids are the toughest critics, so let us know what they think :) I'm also not entirely sure why the post itself is grayed out. We didn't do anything to alter it, so I think it's normal!
