What’s the track record of Progress buying companies? Is it a case of Oracle or IBM sucking the life out of them due to lack of investment, and living off the installed base? Or something more positive?
- gostsamo 6y agoI have friends working for Telerik which was bought by Progress. They feel pretty happy so far and Telerik are doing well, though they had to drop native script after react occupied the entire compile js2native space.
- samayylmao 6y agoMy organization is actually moving away from Telerik after ten years of use. My biggest complaint is how unresponsive they are to fixing bugs. After reported it may be months or a year before you see it fixed. What I dont know is if that is common in that "ui component" sector?

- larrywright 6y agoThis 100%. Earlier in my career I managed a bunch of VB developers and we used a number of commercial UI components. Without exception they were a nightmare to deal with.
- bufordtwain 6y agoTelerik seems to be trucking right along and it's been years since they were acquired. I've seen no drop in the quality of their products and support so far.
