Won't the "per-file hash trees" make it easy to detect copyright infringement? (i.e. the same .txt signature file of a release group)
- robert_foss 6y agoThat's a pretty fair point. There is no expectation of privacy on public torrents however. As for how this works with private trackers is a different story. I guess since DHT isn't used for private torrents, this shouldn't be an issue.
- yyyk 6y agoAdding noise and/or padding is trivial, it would just be done on a per-file basis. Of course, this would also lose the protocol's identical file feature, but that's not a regression vs v1.
