Why does this poster have to post specifics when making a general statement?
Can you imagine responding to "everyone dies" with "please post specifics, thanks"?
From what I can see, this poster stated that no programming language is perfect, and I'm struggling to see why they need to back that up.
- enraged_camel 6y agoThe original post wasn't just a general statement, it was inflammatory and accusatory. The poster stated that Elixir not only teaches programmers the wrong things, but that it leaves them damaged. Did not give a single example or explanation for their rationale.
- RandoHolmes 6y agoNone of that matters when determining whether or not they need to give specifics about something that is obviously true.
- vendiddy 6y agoIt was far from a universally agreed upon statement like "no programming languages is perfect". It had criticisms without any explanations. If someone makes a statement I'm skeptical of, I want to push for examples.
