I'm taking this opportunity to buy new equipment for the sport I like - it keeps manufacturers afloat, and increases the supply so that second hand stuff becomes cheaper for other people wanting to enter the sport. And the more people, the bigger the economies of scale, and new stuff will eventually get cheaper too!
