I also really enjoyed Debt: The first 5k years. The critiques outlined here are interesting and I would like to understand them better. Whatever validity those critiques might have, I feel ‘Debt’ adds much more to our understanding of debt in historical economies than it obfuscates even if the critiques were valid.
