- throw_m239339 6y agoI would submit a complain, it would in fact protect that developer FROM the Iranian government since he wouldn't be able to interact with Israeli on github if it's apparently a problem. He can't have it both way at first place, he can't be on github and obviously violate github TOS with anti-Israeli PR merging policies, no matter what the reason is.
- AdmiralAsshat 6y agoHello! I don't think GitHub would be any help here, as I imagine the author is worried about personal retribution from the Iranian government, not the US govt. He is probably right to be concerned. I'm afraid there's probably not much we can do here. FWIW, as a Palestinian, I think this law is idiotic. FOSS does not discriminate on geographical origins, particularly when any submitted code can be freely audited.
