I think the problem is that you want both children and an upper middle class (read: upper class) lifestyle. But that's not how this works. You are going to consume a lot of your resources in creating and raising children, but you will gain the wisdom to rebuild those same resources and in the end finish with more than you started (timescale: 20-40 years) EDIT: Povitch -> Povich
