It's not so much a short sighted argument as it is an argument that Nvidia will be short sighted. The smart long term decision is to keep ARM dominate for many many years. The short term profits come from wiping out competition in the ARM space. Would Nvidia choose short term or long term strategy? Given how most companies work these days, I don't think it's unreasonable to think it'll be the short term.
