I was laid off, I've got a $500/mo prescription that keeps me out of a dark pit and gives me the ability to even work, I either pay that or pay $850/mo for COBRA to extend my healthcare. Or, what, medicaid? I'll probably be employed by the time that goes through. Six week wait to see a $250/hr cash-only psych. Telehealth "loosened" red tape for everyone BUT people with mood disorders. I still need to go in person for an appointment to get the medication I need. This is bad. I'm super privileged even being unemployed right now. I have savings. I feel for the people who can't afford any of this right now who are going through serious things. If I come down with COVID I'll be bankrupted forever I'd imagine.
