Ive been wondering whether this was possible and/or feasible. We don’t know if the “brain in the vat” would alter their original personality, which is very likely having that it has to live in foreign artificial environment. The mind itself could become depressive and unwilling to tick because why would it? Just so it exists while not really existing phisically?
