The US Constitution enumerates the ability to levy taxes; why would related rules be inappropriate for a state constitution?
- arcticbull 6y agoConstitutions are for big things, like, freedom of speech. Not for a cap on property taxes to make sure the state legislators can't remove them even if it's in the public interest. It's like seeing: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof...." side by side with "and Steve gets a party hat!"
