It's a bubbble, but not an Internet bubble. It's US-dollar bubble. The FED is printing money like never before so everything denominated in USD is going up.

- cheez 16y agoPartially. Only banks have access to the excess and they aren't loaning any more than usual.
- HelloBeautiful 16y agoWhat you're saying doesn't make any sense whatsoever. FED and the other private banks are not stockpiling US dollars in their own accounts.
- cheez 16y agoFED is a private bank?
- HelloBeautiful 16y agoYes, just as Federal Express it's privately owned. US government has 20% of the shares. Until a 1976 change in Federal Reserve Act the list of owners was public: http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/esp_sociopol_fed07.htm http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/sociopolitica/esp_sociopol...
- cheez 16y agoIncestuous. This can't be real.
- Yrlec 16y agoWhen the FED is buying US bonds through QE2 they push the other bond-buyers into buying other things, instead of the bonds the would have bought, had the FED not distorted the market. This pushes prices up for other asset classes. There's excess liquidity desperately looking for ROI. The money has to go somewhere.
- cheez 16y agoSo here's to hoping there is no QE3, ya?
