I already give people in Taiwan a region-based discount. If I offer some kind of educational discounts for a future product, it definitely won't be based on email address or limited to people in official institutions. I'd also extend them to people in coding bootcamps, people in language schools and anybody who could credibly claim to be studying full-time, even if they were self-studying between jobs.
