I once had a dream that felt like it lasted a lifetime. In this dream, I had a whole new life, a different wife, kids, and I lived it through to the end. Then I woke up. It was the weirdest thing ever and I often think about it.

- sak5sk 6y agoThat's the scary part! I woke up very disoriented, full of all sorts of emotions - disappointment, sadness, total confusion. I couldn't make sense of what just happened. It was scary. I also missed my "dream family". I couldn't believe they were gone and it was all a dream. I've told this to people, and they did not believe me. It took a good 3 days to shake off all of the emotions I was feeling over a dream. I did a fair bit of research on this and found that many people report the same happening to them.
- anaxag0ras 6y agoReminds me of this anecdote[0], where the person 'lived' an entirely different life while he was lying unconscious on the ground.
