- geofft 6y agoI think they're different - RFC 8890 is a particular position statement, and this blog post discusses why they decided they needed to publish it, some specific cases (e.g. the discussion about Parliament) that led up to it, and their decision-making process in general. RFC 8890 itself doesn't mention that, nor does it specifically mention things like DoH and China blocking it.
