They can be partially or completely re-enabled in the settings on MacOS.
- maneesh 6y agoWhere/how?
- bradstewart 6y agoNow I'm really confused, when does MacOS decide to hide scrollbars? Only when you're using a touchpad?
- rkapsoro 6y agoIt depends on which pointing device you have installed.
- bradstewart 6y agoThis is the kicker, thanks. I'm using a (non-Apple) mouse and changing the settings didn't seem to have any effect.
- saagarjha 6y agoYou should still be able to make it disappear if you change it to "When scrolling".
- RulerOf 6y agoI tried that setting before and it doesn't seem to do a thing when you have both types of devices connected. I keep a touchpad on the left and a mouse on the right (had the extra hardware then got used to the config), plus the one on the laptop itself, and they're hidden with the "Auto" setting.
- bb123 6y agoOn auto it seems to show up as you scroll only, acting as more of a scroll indicator than an interactive element.
