Rittenhouse is from Illinois. How was he "defending his community" in Wisconsin?
- reducesuffering 6y agoHe lived in Antioch, IL, which is on the border. 30 minutes from Kenosha, which appears to be the largest town within 30 minutes of Antioch, while Chicago IL is 1 hour away. I think the framing of Illinois to Wisconsin is meant to imply it's a huge trek and he's a total outsider, which is a bit disingenuous.
- octonion 6y agoSo, you're saying your "community" is everything within a 30 mile radius? That's 30^2*pi = 2800 square miles of "community". He grabbed an AR-15, drove across state lines and murdered two people. Well, three people, as his life is over. And I'm sure his family and the families of his victims aren't doing too well, either.
- holtkam2 6y agoI grew up in Antioch and am here now. No one here considers Kenosha to be “our community” despite it being a short drive. Let’s be real, the kid had no real reason to be there unless he was looking for trouble
- core-questions 6y agoBut the rioters from across state lines did have a reason?
