"Experimental Obesity in Man: Cellular Character of the Adipose Tissue" In this case, it is not as exciting as I expected it to be. "Prolonged high caloric intake resulted in a mean weight gain of 16.2 kg in the group, with an individual range of from 9 to 19 kg. This represents a 20.9% increase in body weight for the group as a whole with individual gains ranging from 14.8 to 25.3%. Caloric restriction restored body weight to normal." Personally, I wouldn't call it "barely gaining weight".
