Clearly Elon's afraid of failure too, good thing he didn't associate himself with highly difficult industries with very high probability of failure of creating an EV or reusable rockets!
- Alupis 6y agoThere is a clear difference between building a new EV car or rocket (both mature technologies in their own right), and inventing a new technology from thin air that seems to defy the physical, economic and political realities of this world. Upon realizing this idea was literally impossible to achieve - he stepped away. That was to protect himself from a very public failure.
- loceng 6y agoYou're further highlighting your ignorance with this comment, you're so sure of yourself - I'm curious if you have other published predictions like this where you were correct in your speculation? Reusable rockets didn't exist, and likewise boring technology and the ability to create an almost-vaccuum to full vaccuum to accelerate a skate to high-speed isn't rocket science in comparison - or perhaps it's at par with rocket science and its physics. Simply merging separate technologies to make a better system is still work but not impossible. You keep saying Elon stepped away from the tech except you're ignoring that The Boring Company is going forward strongly, including university competitions the last 4 years to create the fastest/best skate to accelerate. Your arguments come from wrong assumptions and inconsistency in understanding different technology.
