- the-dude 6y agoCockroachDB ? You know what you are getting into : bugs.
- Gravityloss 6y agoI always assumed it was a reference to the resiliency. That it should survive the apocalypse...
- the-dude 6y agoResilient bugs are the worst. Or was that intermittent?
- maltalex 6y agoI think it's named after the joke that says only thing that would survive an apocalypse would be cockroaches and relational databases.
- ape4 6y agoLike naming a computer Heat Dissipation ;)
- repsilat 6y agoThere's a bookie in the UK called "Ladbrokes". It isn't an externality, but it's thematically similar -- a commonly associated negative consequence of the business model.
- tiborsaas 6y agoSteam
- oroup 6y agoSoylent
- alex_young 6y agoCassandra. Kafka.
- rbanffy 6y agoThere was a TV show, a very long time ago, about a spaceship called Fireball XL-5. A fireball is precisely what you want to avoid in spaceships.
- coffeemug 6y agoI thought naming the company after its most famous externality was a brilliant idea. If you can't fix it, feature it.
- kevinmchugh 6y agoIt's made me much more aware of the brand, but not in a good way
- projektfu 6y agoChemlawn?
- ksherlock 6y agoDelirium Tremens beer. Death cigarettes
- kevinmchugh 6y agoDrinking a Delirium Tremens prevents withdrawal, though!
