Boeing’s management has done a good job recasting what were deliberate business decisions that drastically reduced safety into bugs and technical errors, at least in the public eye. It doesn’t seem the FAA is being too strict on them in this either, but I suspect the Europeans and Canadians will not go as easy on Boeing as the FAA has.
