Also, reading through the issues you linked points to: https://github.com/NVIDIA/framework-determinism https://github.com/NVIDIA/framework-determinism which is a relatively recent attempt by nVidia to support deterministic computation for TensorFlow. Not perfect yet, but the effort is going there.
