I just saw a video on yt of someone biking in nyc and showing empty streets, and places for rent. I didn’t think it was that bad. But if jerry seinfeld thinks it’s time to post something to tell people to stay, then it must be pretty damn serious...
- gnusty_gnurc 6y agooh yea totally, Jerry Seinfeld is known for being a mouthpiece for cultural propaganda /s
- bsaul 6y agoon the contrary. It's the first time i've seen jerry seinfeld say or write anything "serious".
- KoftaBob 6y ago^ This comment right here is a great example of confirmation bias. Rather than give a specific rebuttal to Seinfeld's commentary, they provide an anecdote that supports their pre-existing bias.

- Hydraulix989 6y agoAre you sure it’s not the other way around?
- mariodiana 6y agoWhat was Seinfeld's take, that cities "change"? He gave as an example "Rome"? Perhaps tourists will go to a revitalized NYC someday, and visit the ruins of the Chrysler Building and Statue of Liberty. Seriously. Cities "change" is perhaps the most vacuous and ambiguous commentary a person could make. Change to what?
- cullinap 6y agoNo doubt people are leaving, but if you go to any of the neighborhoods on a weekend there are still a lot of people eating/drinking. What the city doesn't have at the moment is tourism and that might explain why times square is emptier.
