Yeah, this isn't right. I pay (New Zealand) a hundred and something a month for 100GB 4G or 5G if you can get it.

- amanzi 6y agoAgree - these numbers are way off and to be honest are pretty difficult to calculate. There are a number of 'unlimited' mobile data plans and at the same time you can still get charged 50c per MB ($500/GB) on some pay-as-you-go plans.
- nisse72 6y agoSounds a bit high? Vodafone NZ offers 300 GB of 4G broadband for $73 at the moment.
- RantyDave 6y agoThat's just broadband though. My phone is my sole internet connection these days. We live in the future.
- nisse72 6y agoMy phone has also been my sole internet connection for the last 12 years. What I don't get is they are selling wireless broadband at the price I mention above, but if you buy what is essentially the same product as part of a phone plan instead (i.e. they've simply packaged it differently), you pay something along the lines of 10x or 20x the price per GB.
- james_s_tayler 6y agoYeah my plan is $40NZD and only has 4GB a month :( was on a 10GB plan for $60.
