The European Union has its problems but it's good to see it contributing to world heritage preservation by funding 105M to help preserve Pompeii. I sent a day wandering around Pompeii in 2010, it's well worth a visit and is easily doable as a day trip from Rome if your ever there.
- bambax 6y agoDon't miss the National Archaeological Museum in Naples; most of the best frescoes and statues found in Pompeii and Herculaneum are there, and it also presents many other spectacular artifacts.
