I know spacex is hiring, a buddy of mine left for them.
- bmelton 15y agoI don't know your level of experience, and don't take this as rude, but in the DC area, which isn't as expensive as SF I believe, seasoned developers are getting GS13s and 14s here. I was recently offered a GS14 step 8 (which I think is around $110k or so) for Python development.
- spoiledtechie 15y agoIts pretty simple to command 80-100k job in the DC area just working for government contractors. 4 years experience and solid dev skills of the major languages will fetch 95k a year in DC.
- bmelton 15y agoAbsolutely correct. For the record though, that offer is for a government position, not contracted.
- otto 15y agoFresh out of college. Discussing with others it was pretty standard from conversion through a co-op program.
