Do yourself a favour and check out Capture One. It's a bit more pricey (at least more pricey than the Photographer CC sub), but feels so much more polished. It's even better at handling LR catalogues than LR. Last time I checked migrating my those files took minutes vs hours (CO vs. the new LR). I've been using LR for years (10+?, and other products for almost 20) and the only reason I haven't completely switched yet is laziness.
