I'm not sure what's leading these security folks to believe they can do anything they want and get by with it but I, personally, am glad to see this criminal prosecution taking place -- hopefully it will help to "remind" others that they must "play by the rules" and that "'winning' by any means necessary" is not acceptable. The complete lack of ethics at Uber, in particular, was appalling. Fortunately, it sounds like Dara was working hard to fix that once they got rid of Kalanik.
