I am reminded of the Turning Torso in Malmo, which is 190m and surrounded by nothing anywhere near as tall (the second tallest building in the city, almost 100m shorter, is pretty far away). I would say people don't mind, but the owner of the building has been trying to sell for years and nobody has bought it. It looks pretty though.
