Oh dear this author does not seem to understand a few things.
- numlock86 6y agoProbably not within the awareness of the author, but he's kind of right as data transfer happens at the medium's material specific speed of light. I wouldn't call it a requirement, though. :^)

- umermirzapk 6y agoSurely you wouldn't be referring to usb 3.0 data transfer ;) Mate this is not about that data transfer. There are sensors burried behind the stumps to detect the contact of the ball with the bat. Whereas, cameras are dectecting the release of ball with time synchronisation. The ball speed is calculated dividing the distance by the time. If the time was 3 seconds, the average speed will be 60/3 = 20 feet per second (6.1 m/sec). Of course this is only the average ball speed, the speed of the ball at the time of release would be greater.
