it's seems to have something to do with Iterm or tmux. It works using the terminal. edit: I only get the error using tmux, strange..

yeah, that seemed to have fixed it. Terminal works, iTerm doesn't.

    Fixed with restarting my machine. And it's worth it.

When I ran this, I got the following error: "launchctl: Dubious permissions on file (skipping)" The file was chmodded to 664; changing it to 644 did the trick.
