Have you guys checked out the episode on JRE with Graham Hancock? [0] They talk about the Bronze Age China and Göbekli Tepe. At the time I was seemingly convinced why the academic community wouldn't let these new theories flourish despite the archeological evidence. I was not aware of the work by Hanson so I can not comment on that. A similar thread on HN in the past [1].
