This is far different than leaked password hashes or addresses or credit numbers - it's information that cannot be changed or effectively de-identified. Any company that accumulates medical records on that scale must be very careful. I'm biased (as a co-founder of a major healthcare secure cloud software compnay), but it is hard work and all-too-often neglected work.
