- noduerme 6y agoAs someone who lives in PDX, owns an Oculus Rift and has always refused to have a Facebook account, I can only say that mass bitching appears to have done very little to change anything. Civil lawsuits are a better approach.
- shrimpx 6y agoWhat’s the context of the Portland reference?
- tfigment 6y agoThe US Fed govt sent unmarked, masked troops to Portland who then detained people without identifying themselves using rental vehicles and not disclosing why during the riots. Basically what happens during a kidnapping. Also I believe after mayor and governor ask them to leave. Not the first time in current events either.
- josteink 6y agoTo be fair, Portland is in completely chaos and disarray[1]. Innocent people are getting attacked, mugged, and almost killed by ANTIFA and BLM[2], without any police-intervention. (Because, as BLM has taught the incompetent Portland-mayor, the police are the bad guys.) Someone sending in troops to try re-establish law and order is not only a good thing, it's paramount. Normal, non-radicalized citizens have a right to safety, and that right is not getting honoured right now. - shureluck 6y agoAll I see is a bunch of people whining and attacking cops. Ahead of the curve, you say?
