Just a personal data point but I am among the 79.7% remainder that just refuse to go back to a site that nags me about an abandoned shopping cart. I don't like tracking nor metrics and the reasons why I just clicked close instead of going through with the order vary. Reporting a 'didn't buy because of bug when doing x' has never resulted in a 'thanks, we looked in to it and have now fixed it' message. So yeah FU to the 'Hey we see you still have items in your basket, be sure to carry on buying stuff' emails that are just teeth-grindingly annoying.
