If one of the statements doesn't apply but the overall "feel" of the option is right, I think you can go with that, since after all, the stated purpose of the poll is to see how well HN users know C. For your purposes, I might pick the first option, as it says C is either your main or best-known language. Best-known could be a reasonable statement in your case.
