For the people leaving the bay area - I'm curious what your living situation is. I've been in SF or Palo Alto for 15 years since graduating. I'm single, most of my friends are here and the rest are in NYC. I love the idea of moving somewhere more spread out, maybe close to the beach or in the woods, but not at the expense of being isolated. Sure, I know a couple people who've moved away but the vast majority are staying in the city.
