In my current company, I have a long history of exceptional performance, but the job I'm currently in is turning out to be really stressful. A role has recently opened up in my company that I am an absolute perfect match for. The problem is that they are requiring me to relocate to the Bay area for it. Relocating to the Bay area is completely out of the question for me, especially now that so many tech companies will let me work remote due to COVID-driven changes. The end result here is that my company is going to end up losing me to a competitor who can accommodate me working where I am.
