They have made it even more difficult for open-source to be able to reverse engineer their drivers with signed firmware blobs, push their own solution on Wayland, (ELStreams), over everyone else adopting GBM etc. - in short they refuse to cooperate in an official capacity. Both Intel and AMD do have an official FLOSS Linux driver and regularly work with the wider community.
