A week or two, for about two hours a day. Making changes out of nowhere is something I am used to since I was a kid, so it might have been easier for me. But if you are happy with Capture One, and do not plan on switching your operating system anytime soon, I do not really see a reason. Darktable has a better rendering engine, but only pixel peepers will notice, and the fact it is open source only matters to a limited amount of people, myself included, but might not matter to you.
