The Department of Health and Human Services issued a regulation on Friday that undid protections for transgender patients against discrimination by doctors, hospitals and health insurance companies. Luckily the Supreme Court saw the absurdity of that argument and overwhelmingly ruled against it. Huh, funny, against discrimination here, where it is politically advantageous, but for discrimination there, when it is politically advantageous. Just call a spade a spade.
