I can install anything I want from any platform/device maker on my Windows computer, my Android phone, my Macbook, and my Linux laptop. Apple phones are the outlier here.
- Talyen42 6y agoyeah, I get that, and the only reason I picked an iphone for my grandpa is because it's a curated closed platform. i'm glad it exists as an option, and it's not the most popular one, but it seems insane to make it illegal to create a closed software platform
- threeseed 6y agoa) Phone is not considered by most people to be a computer. b) I can't install anything I want on my PS4, Switch, Tesla, Shopify store etc. So actually Apple isn't the outlier at all.
