Around where I live, it works really well in parks and busy streets. But in residential areas the homeless people come and slash open trash bags, and dump garbage all over the street. Even if you put all your bottles in a clear bag for them, they will slash your black trash bags anyways just to check. It's super annoying and probably dangerous to them as well.
