I wonder if someone is going to pick up the mantle that Mozilla dropped. One of the FAANGs, maybe Oxide?
- oconnor663 6y agoI wonder if Microsoft could be interested. They've written a lot recently about investing in Rust internally. Also VSCode seems to be the de facto standard Rust IDE these days.
- monocasa 6y agoThe ideal for me would be that a single company doesn't, but instead there's a proper foundation with a lot of members.
- steveklabnik 6y agoAs a pre-revenue startup... Oxide can't do that, though they do employ me, and we are still using Rust for all the things, and don't plan on changing that.
