Phase 3 is the expanded test of thousands of people, with half getting the real vaccine and half gettinga fake or placebo. Then you watch them for 6 months and count the sick and dead and look up what they got = confirm or deny the vaccine effectiveness and safety. Russia has taken a chance that they were right and is vaccinating many people with no placebo arm to verify. Time will tell. In 3 months the numbers will be in and Russia will fail or succeed on those numbers. If they succeed = huge gains for Russia. The rest of the world will be 4-5 months behind. If they fail......
