AFCI’s are such a horrific scam. Imagine spending thousands of dollars to fill a breaker box with less reliable breakers. I had AFCI trip on my fridge after renovating my kitchen while we were away for a weekend and ruined the brand new floors when the ice box melted. So infuriating. I’ve since pulled the AFCI’s out of all mission critical circuits and sold them on eBay. Just an absolutely disgusting example of regulatory capture.
