That might be part of the problem. :) Really though I might not be using the best term, esp. with the definition of hypertext being one of those things that's a little historic now. I'm mostly just comparing between print formats and formats where layout is done by the viewer to reflect user preferences (which is kind of a dead concept with HTML anyway, but...)
