Apple and Linux can't handle a billion people who want to buy a $300 computer once every 5-10 years and never installl, configure, or fix anything on it (it comes with Internet Explorer 6 -- isn't that fine?).
- schtog 18y agoIsnt that exactly what Linux could handle? If the financial incentive is there for sure I think you'd see a supercustomerfriendly linux OS. there already is Ubuntu. And running ten years without problems is what Ubuntu is for, not windows.
- bayareaguy 18y agowhere would people go instead of Windows? FireFox.
