To be fair, the android keyboards (like Gboard, googles own) are also bad. It's a tough problem for sure, but they haven't gotten better for the last 6-7 years at least, in my experience, and that is the point of the parent post I guess.
- thdrdt 6y agoIs this true? Lately I noticed a change. Autocorrect now suggests based on previous words. I am not sure this use to be the case. For example if I type "this is not the" it suggests the next word might be "case".
- hocuspocus 6y agoGboard is not perfect and shows some erratic behavior described by the parent poster, but it isn't as bad as Apple's keyboard in my experience. However, SwiftKey might be more conservative and feels a bit slower at times, but its autocorrect and prediction do a really good and consistent job.
- conradfr 6y agoThe worst thing for me is that I frequently miss the space character and type a period instead, and Gboard can't understand that it's a mistake AND won't autocorrect and suggest words for what I'm typing after that period.
